The Troika Residence is a luxury condominium development that was completed in 2010 and located in the centre of Kuala Lumpur, directly facing the PNB Darby Park.
The unit has an approximate built-up area of 1860 square feet. The original state of the unit had minimal renovation works done and majority of the existing built-ins were slightly dated due to age.
Due to the client’s preferences for a brighter flooring, a polished finish, large-cut Volakas marble was used to create a flooring for the space which enabled minimal joint lines and a continuous flow of the marble pattern. In addition to that, the polished finish further allowed for a more luxurious overall feel.
Feature buddha statues greet the entrance of the space. These statues were pieces that were of importance to the client, of which he brought to each space he had lived in. Therefore, in order to elevate the overall feel, a large piece of dark grey tempered glass was installed to create a background for these statues. This created a calming yet elevated entrance to welcome both the client as well as guests.
Imported snakeskin textured wallpaper was used to cover the walls in the guestroom to provide more depth of design and to match with the B&B Italia furniture placed within the room.
A smart home system was integrated to control and automate the window treatments, lighting, and air conditioning within the house. This enabled the client to have better and more immediate control of the mood and overall desired effect of the space.
The client’s importance on the collection of artworks to be displayed allowed the concept and design of the project to be inspired by these exclusive art pieces. To be given the rare opportunity to create a space inspired by Picasso’s art pieces was truly a project to remember for LUXE INTERIOR.
